General interface
The BookSoft interface consists of the top section bar, the current section’s left menu, open-page tabs, and the working area.
Navigation
- Select a functional section on the top bar.
- Open the required document, catalog, or report from the left menu.
- Switch between open pages using the tabs in the working area.
- Use the collapse control to increase the space available for a table or form.
Shared working rules
Leave the Search field empty when all records available under the current conditions must remain visible. To narrow the result, enter part of a name, number, or another value from the table, then apply additional filters when needed.
The commands in the toolbar and the Actions menu depend on the user role, the selected record’s state, and the capabilities of the specific module. Check form messages before creating, editing, applying, or deleting data.
Modal forms open above the current page. Fields marked with an asterisk are required; the close button or Cancel exits without saving unsaved changes.
Catalogs and documents
- — creating, searching, selecting, and, where supported, exchanging catalog data.
- — working with lists, forms, selection dialogs, application, and data import in supported modules.
Language and messages
The language selector in the working area changes localized content when supported by the form. System messages appear in the bottom panel; read the message and correct the identified fields or conditions before retrying the action.
