Enumeration modal form
The Enumeration modal form is used to create or edit one value. Open it from the : select the required enumeration type and choose Create, or select a row and choose Edit.
The screenshot shows the common fields using a business segment as an example. Individual enumerations can add their own fields.

Common fields
Fields marked with an asterisk must be completed before saving.
| Field | How to complete it |
|---|---|
| Name | Enter a clear name for the value. This field is localized: change the language at the bottom of the form to complete the required language versions. A system value may have a read-only name. |
| Sort order | Enter the number that determines the value’s position in lists. A new record starts with 100. Values with lower numbers appear earlier. |
| Description | Add an optional explanation of the value’s purpose. The text is localized and supports basic formatting. |
Additional fields
A particular enumeration can contain a code, percentage, system type, color, usage flags, or other parameters. Complete them according to the purpose of that enumeration. When changing a field reveals or hides other fields, the form is applying the rules of the selected value type.
Do not assume that restrictions are the same for every enumeration:
- a system-only enumeration contains product-supplied values and does not allow custom records;
- a mixed enumeration combines system and user-defined values; system rows may have a locked name or other protected fields;
- a user-defined enumeration allows custom values within the permissions of your role.
Check the page for the specific enumeration for its type and special fields.
Localized names
The language selector at the bottom controls the language version of Name and Description. Complete the primary language first, then select another language and enter the translation. Non-localized fields, such as sort order or a numeric code, remain unchanged when you switch languages.
Lists and selection forms display the name in the current interface language or selected content language. Keep the meaning consistent across all completed language versions.
Saving
- Complete all required fields.
- Check the sort order and any special parameters.
- Add translations with the language selector when needed.
- Select Save and close.
If a required field is empty, the form highlights it and does not complete the save. Cancel closes the form without applying unsaved changes.
After saving, an active value becomes available in the relevant selection forms. If the record is later marked inactive or deleted in the list, it is excluded from new selections unless the specific form explicitly supports showing such records.
